I read again a story about another businessman with a checkered past at best trumping themselves up by making out they are a polo person yet again in this morning's Post.

They buy up land and or polo clubs and think they will suddenly become admired and gain community respect. Well do they really believe this? By and large many people who have nothing to do with our sport may fall for their ridiculous efforts for social standing.  You cant buy respect and social standing by flashing your new notes around and buying your way into our sport. In fact those of us who were either born into it or have grown to love it through love of riding horses are the only ones who really are polo people and we all see our fair share of these business noteables come and go.

One thing is for sure.. they do all go

Either when the dough runs out as they bankrupt everyone else with their ponzi schemes and the like or they realise its not giving them the elusive acceptance for their fast lane trite they are looking for.. Whatever the reasons the are not polo
